Job description:

Full -time Lecturer students are led and encouraged in their study to meet module outcomes through instruction and academic delivery. Contribute to research projects, teaching and learning resources for the campus, and give the appropriate program manager comments as a subject matter expert (SME). Monitoring student development and offering aid to students.

Qualification:

Information systems or computer science with honors

Alternately: A third-year degree with honors in a closely related discipline, preferably one that involves programming.

Experience:

Full -time Lecturer experience teaching programming
Work experience as a programmer, application developer, or software developer.
An advantage would be having gaming knowledge or enthusiasm.

Area of Performance:

Lecturing:

Full -time Lecturer  wherever appropriate, lecture programming modules using a variety of delivery methods.
Lesson planning, delivery, and all associated teaching and evaluation tasks.
Plan guest lecturers for each module taught each semester to enhance the educational experience of the students.

marking of exams and providing students with precise constructive criticism in courses taught in accordance with IIE standards.
Scripts for assessments related to particular subject areas may need to be internally moderated as necessary across IIE delivery sites.
Participate in meetings to discuss programs and provide module feedback.

Support and Development:

support role for The IIE and T&L on campus.
Encourage the use of the IIE’s recommended teaching and learning methods.
helping with any necessary research relating to education and learning.

Learner Development & Support:

promoting, supervising, and overseeing academic support and development for a particular program and its students.
monitoring student progress and applying support measures as necessary.

Scholarship:

The incumbent is expected to encourage a culture of scholarship within their field of study, campus, and team, as well as to help The IIE’s Vega School meet its goals for annual research output.

Campus responsibilities:

Attend campus gatherings and events like training sessions, Campus Team meetings, and Open Days.
Maintain an extensive portfolio of teaching-related proof that adheres to the brand’s standards.
Take part in a variety of campus collaboration projects.
