Job description:

Employee relations primary goal of this developmental role is to learn about the Employee Relations function through hands-on experience. The internship will end once the chosen individual has finished a structured development programme within 12 months. Upon completion of the internship curriculum, consideration for a suitable open post may be given.

Qualification:

A national degree or diploma in law, labour law, or human resources management

Experience:

1 year’s minimum experience in HR and ER
1 year of employee relations experience
Basic understanding of legal compliance requirements and HR rules and procedures

Bbasic familiarity with the LRA, BCEA, and MHSA
Basic understanding of negotiation techniques and dispute resolution abilities
Strong organisational abilities
Excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking
Strong report writing abilities
A burning drive to develop and learn
Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency
Possess a valid driver’s licence and a car
Ability to earn or have a current Certificate of Fitness
