Job description:
Network Engineer must be someone who will be effectively planning, design planning and implementing data, voice and video network infrastructure and solutions across the Ivanhoe Group according to business requirements and industry best practice standards.
Function:
In charge of designing and implementing network architecture that complies with corporate needs and goals
Collecting business requirements and objectives, translating company goals, objectives, and requirements into a technological design
assistance with procurement and project management. Contribute to the planning, preparing, and execution of novel solutions
responsible for carrying out network capacity, utilisation, and planning in accordance with ICT guidelines and standards.
When installing products from many vendors, make sure the rules and regulations are followed.
Reporting, Observation, Assessment, and Audit: Ensure that all ICT reporting complies with applicable standards, regulations, and deadlines.
In charge of the group’s network cabling (Fibre, Twisted Pair, etc.)
It is their duty to communicate with the appropriate hardware vendors and make sure that installation requirements and deadlines are met.
liable for carrying out network troubleshooting and monitoring
Monitoring will guarantee availability and dependability.
responsible for setting up routers and firewalls for the entire group.
In charge of setting up and configuring VPN for the entire team.
In charge of setting up and configuring CCTV systems for the entire organisation.
In charge of group-wide licencing, equipment updates, and IP audits.
In charge of group-wide environmental monitoring (temperature, humidity, and fire control).
In charge of managing the group’s network infrastructure assets.
Maintenance of the network infrastructure and the server room.

Qualification:
Information Technology Senior Certificate (Grade 12) National Diploma.
Professional and Cisco Certified Network Administrator (e.g., CCNA and CCNP knowledge).
Cisco Certified Design Professional is advantageous.
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert is advantageous.
Licence to drive that is valid.
Experience:
5 years or more of expertise with network administration
Prepare and supply thorough, correct network designs and layouts. Have knowledge of workflow orders and sourcing quotations.
Knowledge of project management – hardware installation and distribution within specified project parameters and timelines
Understanding of financial planning and budgeting, fulfilment of networking requirements for the organisation, and contribution to forecasting and budget planning
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
