Job description:
Network Security Engineer the role involves delivering both commercial projects to strategic customers while working as a member of the Managed Security Services organisation. Security reviews, the design and implementation of Cisco and other network security solutions, and participation in virtual multi-discipline teams as the security lead in significant design and implementation projects are all quite different types of projects.
Function:
Offer advice and support tailored to a particular problem and product.
setting up and configuring networking equipment in customer networks. support for and potential upgrades to this networking hardware.
Direct effect on contract deliveries and support
Be accountable for the following:
Make sure that devices are deployed with the proper configuration. support for current client network hardware.
Qualification:
Grade 12 or matriculation Cisco (CCNA R&S or above)
Security CCNP
(NSE4 or above) Fortinet
(PCNSA or better) Palo Alto
(NSE4 or above) Fortinet
(PCNSA or better) Palo Alto
Experience:
5 years of expertise using network security solutions in large-scale network security operations.
two years’ worth of expertise working with at least one of the following manufacturers: Cisco, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Arbour, Forcepoint, Z-Scaler, F5 Networks, Cloudflare, etc.
Algosec, Tufin, Skybox, and Firemon firewall management and auditing tools expertise of at least one year
Required Skills:
Network connection issues at locations
While closely collaborating with the client and stakeholders, manage the devices at the customer data centre and at Nexio Internal Co-ordinate all new installations of sites and 3rd Party service provider sites
Verify that all hosts and devices are reachable at the sites.
Verify that failover is still working.
assist the client and stakeholders in addressing consumer connectivity difficulties

Make sure requests, projects, etc. don’t take precedence over operational incidents (down sites, etc.).
Regular client consultation and incident updates
Communicate with vendors to settle disputes
For optimum performance, manage and maintain device configurations.
Allocation and control of IP addresses
Monthly reporting on network stability and downtime
Firmware updates and patches
