Job description:
We are looking for a dynamic Senior Medical Doctor or Public Health Practioner with experience working within HIV/TB/PMTCT programmes in the Public Health sector to join our team as a Programme Manager.
Functions:
Program Administration:
Program Manager take on overall program and Anova team management in designated Anova-supported locations.
Help the HOD create annual program activities and work plans that adhere to the funder’s strategy and have clear deliverables, success indicators, and timelines.
Work along with the HOD, project managers, and M&E manager to plan, create, and evaluate a yearly project schedule that includes specific deliverables, success indicators, and a timeline for achieving the 909090.
In order to track project progress and deliverables, oversee all facets of the 909090 project monitoring and evaluation, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Technical Assistance:
Provide the Department of Health with technical assistance for the DIP process at the provincial, district, and subdistrict levels, as well as ongoing
Stakeholder engagement and team management:
Together with other line managers, oversee, manage, and coach the designated staff team to guarantee effective project completion and carry out the biannual performance evaluations.
Determine the possibilities and training needs for program staff growth, then set up these trainings.
Create, oversee, and uphold effective working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, such as partners, donors, and DOH.
Determine which program stakeholders are essential, then work with the external liaison to create a plan for engaging stakeholders.
Reporting as well as additional tasks:
As agreed upon with the HOD, provide verbal and written program performance reports to the line manager, DOH, and Anova management.
Encourage and participate in pertinent research initiatives, primarily operational research.
Take on the responsibilities of the deputy in the HOD’s absence; this involves interacting with
Requirement:
Master’s degree, Postgraduate diploma in Public Health, or MBChB degree.
HIV Management Diploma.
Experience:
Proficiency in overseeing or managing senior managers and diverse/multidisciplinary teams.
at least two years in a supervisory capacity and at least six years of clinical experience following community service.
two years of experience working in TB/HIV or associated programs, and at least four years of experience working with HIV/TB patients.
awareness of the most recent HIV/TB/PMTCT recommendations.
familiarity with the 909090 plan, the 2017–2022 SA NSP for TB, HIV, and STIs, as well as other health-related policies.
thorough understanding of the District’s healthcare system.
Other requirement:
the capacity to evaluate and comprehend program data in order to guide execution and planning.
strong understanding of chronic medication, tuberculosis, and antiretroviral therapy (ART).
Capacity to inspire and guide a multidisciplinary group.
