Restaurant Operator will an enthusiastic a need by Managed People Solutions for a well-known eatery in Pretoria, Gauteng.
Responsibilities:
Finance
Restaurant Operator control and authorization of payment schedules
controlling, approving, and disbursing waiter tips
approval of employee monthly salary and signature
oversee and approve each cash up.
Administration
Restaurant Operator daily meter readings and control checks (for gas, water, etc.), as well as report compilation using data from prior months and disclosure of discrepancies
keep an eye on the daily check sheets and SOPs
Keeping up with employee discipline, giving warnings, and holding disciplinary hearings
carrying out the shop’s daily operating tasks
Control Stock
Processing and ordering of new stock
Do regular price comparison and liaise with suppliers to negotiate on price
Ensure quality control and implementation of franchise standards
Responsible for stock control
Responsible for stock take monthly
Conduct daily stock freshness and rotation checks with Chefs and Manager
Responsible of employees
Be in charge of and actively involved in the hiring of new employees, including giving your approval.
Help the General Manager with the pre-planning of the employee roster and work schedules (front and back of house), and get the Operator’s permission.
Provide daily mentoring and employee education
Control employee breaks and guarantee on-time personnel attendance.
Facilitate weekly VIBE meetings for your staff.
Be actively involved in disciplining employees, such as by issuing notices of suspension and raising concerns at disciplinary hearings.
Relations with Customer
Engage with customers and respond to their questions and criticisms
overseeing and carrying out shop cleanliness and hygiene
provide prompt and effective service for customers in the store
Operations
synchronize Mr. D, Uber Eat, takeout, and seated orders
Perform the shop’s opening and closing procedures. Plugs, extractions, gas valves, etc.
Implementation and correspondence in marketing. This includes talking about marketing reports and doing the necessary preparation.

Qualification and experience required:
Minimum 8 years of operational, not just management, restaurant management experience
Computer proficiency is required (POS experience required).
Grade 12 minimum, with a postgraduate degree preferred
Outstanding management abilities, great business and financial acumen, a need for operational expertise, and the capacity to plan and budget are all requirements.
